Put an Background Image on your drive

Posted by Gaurav 1 July, 2009

* Open notepad and copy the following code :

[{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}]
iconarea_image=ws_NFS_1152x864.jpg
iconarea_text=0x00FFFFFF

* Here, the 2nd line in the code represents the name of your picture.

* Now save this file as DESKTOP.INI in the location (any drive or any folder) where you desire to set the background picture. And copy the picture too in the same location.You are DONE :D

* Close that drive and open it again. Your defined picture is up there on your drive background!

* Don’t forget to copy the picture in the same drive in which you are about to put the background image.

* Or otherwise just put the address of the image in place of the name of image.

For eg.
[{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}]
iconarea_image=E:\gaurav\’s picture\cars\ws_NFS_1152x864.jpg
iconarea_text=0x00FFFFFF

And save the file as DESKTOP.ini

* In case the computer tells you that, the file name already exist then tool->folder option->view->show hidden files

Then open the DESKTOP.INI file whch is already there, do not replace it by older file whch you created. Then paste the given code over there in the existing file with your image name and save it!

Do the above procedure if it shows that the file name already exist :)
